A close friend of ours was visiting from Australia and we wanted to take a quick weekend trip together. Hubby and him decided on Boston since neither of them have visited before. Unfortunately, last minute planning ended up in poor (or adventurous?) travel plans, resulting in driving 9 hours to New Hampshire first to pick up an iPhone from the Apple Store (no tax!), staying 24 hours in Boston and then driving 9 hours home. For those that know us, this type of travel is not unusual but I really think we’re getting too old for this š
We startedĀ off our trip right with brunch at Atlantic Fish Company. Couldn’t wait for lunch to have some clam chowder though! Seriously the best clam chowder I’ve ever had, there were so many clams in every bite.
Lobster & crab cakeĀ eggs benedict
We spent the day walking from Back Bay to North End, stopping at popular attractions on the way. It was about a 3 mile walk in chilly weather.
4 hour wait for a seat at Neptune oyster. Unfortunately had to give up after 2 hours but will be returning to Boston just to try this!
With only 24 hours in the city, we didn’t have a chance to visit Cambridge and other surrounding areas. It just meansĀ another trip to Boston is waiting for us. Let me know if you have suggestions on what we must see or eat next time!
